Mission Statement

11 years ago, Dan O'Brien was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease. With no health insurance, the cost of medications was overwhelming. In 2012, when he was diagnosed himself, he realized the struggle of those who were in the same situation as him. That realization became a driving force for him to create a support network for those who needed it the most. And thus, DOB Parkinson's Charity was born.
Our mission at DOB Parkinson's Charity is to provide support and resources to individuals and families affected by Parkinson's disease. We believe that everyone deserves access to the medications, physical therapy, and other resources they need to live their best life, regardless of their financial situation. 100% of your generous donations go directly to those in our community who are struggling with PD, ensuring that every dollar you give makes a real difference in the lives of those we serve.
We are proud to have an all-volunteer team, including the amazing musicians and technicians who put on the shows to raise funds. Our ultimate goal is to create a Worldwide Network of communities all helping those in need, so that no one faces the challenges of Parkinson's disease alone. Together, we can make a difference and improve the lives of those affected by this horrible, incurable disease.
